Ukraine opens Honorary Consulate General in Hungary’s Szeged

Ukrainian Ambassador to Hungary Liubov Nepop and representatives of the Hungarian Government opened the Honorary Consulate General of Ukraine in the city of Szeged, the Embassy of Ukraine in Hungary has reported.

"The ambassador handed over a consular patent to newly appointed Honorary Consul General Róth Sándor, who has been working as Ukrainian honorary consul to Szeged since 2008," reads the report.

He managed to do a lot of things for the development of Ukraine-Hungary ties. Upon his initiative and funding, the monument to the Holodomor victims was erected in Szeged in 2018.
