Ukrainian youth minister meets with UN Secretary-General's envoy on youth in New York

Ukrainian Youth and Sports Minister Igor Zhdanov met with UN Secretary-General's Envoy on Youth, Ms. Jayathma Wickramanayake in New York.

As the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the UN reports, the issues of bilateral cooperation were discussed at the meeting.

April 8-9, 2019, the ECOSOC Youth Forum gathered at the UN Headquarters in New York a record number of more than a thousand activists, delegates and government officials from all over the world to discuss the Youth 2030 Action Plan, which is part of the UN Sustainable Development Goals until 2030.

This theme of this year’s forum is "Youth: Empowered, Included and Equal." The Ukrainian delegation is headed by Minister of Youth and Sports Igor Zhdanov. He has already taken part in an interactive roundtable "Investing in Youth Development: Financing and other Means of Implementation" and informed about the ways of developing the youth policy in Ukraine.
