The representatives of more than 27 countries of the world participated in the festival, the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Finland and Iceland reports.

"Ukrainians living in Iceland impressed the visitors with the embroidered Ukrainian towels, flowers, abundant fruits and vegetables. The women wearing embroidered shirts and wreaths were glad to treat the guests with hot borsch with sour cream, flavorous bread, Ukrainian salo, garlic donuts, pies, dumplings and cabbage rolls. Various Ukrainian delicacies left no visitor indifferent," the statement reads.

As the representatives of Ukrainian diaspora in Iceland told, the event was opened by Mayor of Borgarnes Gunnlaugur A. Júlíusson.

The Festival of Nations combined the presentation of traditions of different world countries and tasting dishes of national cuisine.
