Ukrainian center opens in The Hague

The Foundation "Ukrainians in the Netherlands" opens a hub for the Ukrainian community in The Hague.

Head of the “Ukrainians in the Netherlands" Vira Zwaan posted on her Facebook page: "The premises for the Ukrainian community center in The Hague were provided following to the constant appeals of the Foundation ‘Ukrainians in the Netherlands’, the assistance of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to the Kingdom of the Netherlands Vsevolod Chentsov and the constant support of the counselor of the Embassy of Ukraine Natalia Klimkina. Now Ukrainians have the place to meet, to hold more Ukrainian events, lessons, trainings, open clubs and even to play football together.”

The first event in the Ukrainian center – the day of Ukrainian cuisine in The Hague – will be held on Saturday, February 17, from 16:00 to 22:00.

As indicated on the website of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, about 5,000 Ukrainians live in the country, according to unofficial data.
