Kyiv breaks another temperature record

The first days of January 2018 in the Ukrainian capital started with a temperature record.

According to observations of the Central Geophysical Observatory meteorological station, the night of 4 January 2018 in Kyiv was the warmest one since 1881.

“The temperature did not drop below + 3.5 ° С, which is 1.1 ° С higher than the previous historical temperature value for this date, registered in 1920. This temperature corresponds to late October according to the climatic norm," the report reads.

Earlier it was reported that December 2017 in Kyiv had been one of the warmest for 136 years of meteorological observations.
