Zelensky: Turkey shows interest in Ukraine’s defense expertise
President Volodymyr Zelensky made this statement in a video address, according to Ukrinform.
“Rustem Umerov is currently continuing to work with countries interested in our Ukrainian defense expertise. We are preparing long-term agreements. It is long-term cooperation that always yields the best results. We already have agreements with Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar. We are working with Jordan. We are in communication with Kuwait, as well as with Iraq and Bahrain," Zelensky said.
He also added that Turkey and some countries outside the Middle East have expressed interest in Ukraine’s military capabilities.
“We will certainly support those who support us. We are ready to work with those who respect us, respect Ukraine, respect Ukrainians, and are prepared to build genuine cooperation for decades to come. This is what will give Ukraine confidence. This is what will give our partners security. There will also be agreements with our partners in Europe—I have already discussed this with many of them," Zelensky said.
As reported by Ukrinform, President Volodymyr Zelensky, commenting on the ten-year defense cooperation agreements with Saudi Arabia and Qatar, stated that Ukraine has never had such agreements in this region before.
