Ukraine's EU accession: Zelensky discusses unblocking negotiation process with Irish Foreign Minister Helen McEntee
According to Ukrinform, the head of state reported this on Telegram.
"I discussed the priorities of Ireland's EU Presidency in the second half of this year with Minister for Foreign Affairs, Trade, and Defense of Ireland Helen McEntee. For Ukraine, it is very important that the principle of opening clusters for a country that fulfils its obligations finally starts to work," Zelensky said.
The Presidential Office added that the President emphasized the importance of unblocking the negotiation process for Ukraine's accession to the European Union.
"Your role in the second half of this year is crucial for the EU and, of course, for us. Naturally, we want to understand how we can move forward faster," Zelensky noted.
He also informed McEntee about the results of his visits to Middle Eastern countries and about the security system Ukraine has proposed there.
"We are ready to work in the same format with European partners, both on a bilateral basis and within the SAFE instrument. In all dimensions, Europe must be protected, and Ukrainian expertise can make a significant contribution to security," he emphasized.

He expressed gratitude to Ireland for all its support: military, humanitarian, and energy-related.
As Ukrinform reported, Ireland is allocating an additional EUR 40.3 million for humanitarian and stabilization support to Ukraine, bringing total assistance this year to its highest level since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion.
