Zelensky at Coalition of the Willing meeting: We must already think about next winter

He stated this in his opening speech at the Coalition meeting held in Kyiv, according to Ukrinform.

"There are no secrets – Russia attacks our civilians, our energy. We had a terrible winter. And I think that only the help of our friends and the resilience of our people gave us the possibility to survive. That is why we are asking to help us to renovate our energy system," Zelensky said, addressing allied partners.

He emphasized that he hopes for an end to the war. "But in any case, we need to think about the next winter, and we need quick actions," he added, noting that restoring energy infrastructure independently is very difficult.

Zelensky also highlighted that the Coalition of the Willing has united 36 countries around Ukraine.

"Today we have the Coalition of the Willing, and we have 36 countries, 36 representatives who support us, who are around Ukraine and against Russian aggression. I am thankful for this support; it is important," Zelensky said.

As reported, today, February 24, in Kyiv, on the fourth anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion, in addition to the Coalition of the Willing meeting, the summit Ukraine – Northern European and Baltic Countries will also take place.

On January 6 in Paris, following a Coalition of the Willing meeting, the presidents of Ukraine and France, Volodymyr Zelensky and Emmanuel Macron, and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer signed a Declaration of Intent regarding the deployment of multinational forces.
