Sybiha, Sa'ar discuss restoration of Ukraine's energy infrastructure
During the call, Sybiha briefed his counterpart on the consequences of Russia's large-scale attacks and Ukraine's urgent needs in restoring its energy infrastructure, Ukrinform reports, citing Sybiha's post on social media platform X.
The two sides also discussed the development of the peace process aimed at achieving a lasting peace. The ministers exchanged views on key issues on the bilateral agenda and on shared security threats, including those posed by the Iranian regime.
"Ukraine strongly condemns brutal violence and repressions of the Iranian authorities against their own people. International pressure on Tehran must be scaled up in response to so many people killed and injured," Sybiha said.
He thanked Sa'ar "for a constructive dialogue and solidarity with the Ukrainian people."
Sybiha also noted that Ukraine, together with Israel and the rest of the world, mourns the victims of the Holocaust.
"Yesterday, we joined the commemoration at the highest level. At the Babyn Yar Memorial in Kyiv, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky honored the memory of all Jews killed by the Nazis during the Holocaust," the minister said.
