Poland effectively combating anti-Ukrainian disinformation, Deputy PM says
This was stated in a comment to Ukrinform by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digitalization of Poland, Krzysztof Havkowski.
“Poland is effectively fighting Russian disinformation, which, among other things, claims that Ukraine attacked us (referring to the Russian drone attacks on Poland on the night of September 10). We do this by exposing content created by Russian bots and trolls so that Polish society understands that this content is not produced in Poland and is anti-Ukrainian. We will continue this policy because it is a policy of providing truthful information and countering disinformation,” Havkowski said.
He emphasized that Poland is one of the countries providing the most assistance to Ukraine to effectively defend against Russian aggression.
“In my area of responsibility, this naturally includes ongoing support related to the Internet and Starlink terminals. This assistance continues and is one of the elements of building Ukraine’s resilience,” the deputy prime minister stressed.
According to him, Poland is studying the experience of the war in Ukraine and how the country is building a resilience system, particularly in the digital sector and civil protection.
“We understand that today we must be ready for any development of events, as Russia will not change its imperial policy,” the Polish official noted.
Previously, Havkowski stated during the conference ‘Healthcare System During War: How to Utilize Ukrainian Experience?’ that hybrid threats to Poland are expected to grow in the coming years. Thanks to the resistance of Ukrainians, Warsaw has several years to prepare for possible aggression.
