Zelensky says whether he will attend Munich Security Conference
According to an Ukrinform correspondent, Zelensky stated this during a press conference, commenting on expectations for this year's Munich Security Conference and planned meetings.
"Regarding Munich. The situation in the country changes every day. I hold energy briefings. At night, I stay in contact if we have heavy strikes, and in the morning there are corresponding discussions with all regional leaders, with communities where the situation is very difficult, with the Minister of Energy, the Prime Minister, the Deputy Prime Ministers, and so on. So everything depends on the situation in Ukraine. If possible, I will attend the Munich Security Conference. Our partners always treat this with respect," he said.
Zelensky noted that key figures from Europe and around the world will be present at the conference. He emphasized that the situation in Ukraine strongly influences security in Europe today and, according to him, this will also be the case in the future.
"The main signals about what we need right now – about air defense, about what we produce and that we are opening exports – we need financial involvement for the production of drones that our soldiers need today on the battlefield. Therefore, we are ready to open many joint production facilities. This will also be discussed. There are several more packages that I personally count on, and my personal contact with partners is needed," he said.
As Ukrinform reported, the 62nd Munich Security Conference will take place on February 13–15, 2026. The organizers expect approximately 200 government representatives from around 120 countries, including nearly 60 heads of state and government, 56 foreign ministers, and more than 30 defense ministers, as well as leaders of over 40 international organizations.
The Ukrainian delegation is expected to be headed by President Volodymyr Zelensky.
