Kremlin says no compromise reached with Americans on peace plan for Ukraine

Ukrinform
The Kremlin described Tuesday’s talks with U.S. representatives as useful, but noted that no compromise on a peace plan for Ukraine had been reached.

This was reported by the BBC Russian service, according to Ukrinform.

“Yury Ushakov, an aide to President Putin who took part in the negotiations, called the discussion with Witkoff and Kushner useful and constructive. However, according to him, the parties came neither closer nor further from a settlement in Ukraine,” the outlet reports.

According to Ushakov, “no compromise option has yet been found,” particularly on the territorial issue, but “the American side presented some of its proposals.”

Meanwhile, Washington has not yet made its position public following the talks.
