Polish government responds to searches at Yermak's apartment

This was stated on Friday by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense of Poland Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, Ukrinform reports with reference to Rmf24.

“This is not good news for Poland or Western Europe, for which the security border now lies on the front line between Russia and Ukraine,” Kosiniak-Kamysz said.

He noted that issues related to corruption scandals in Ukraine “evoke certain emotions” that “will be fueled by forces hostile to Ukraine.”

“We are waiting for explanations. Our strategy of supporting Ukraine remains unchanged, because that is where the limits of our security lie. But, for example, it is impossible to join the European Union without transparency in anti-corruption policy,” the Polish Deputy Prime Minister stressed.

According to the agency's report, detectives from the National Anti-Corruption Bureau conducted searches at the apartment of Andriy Yermak, the Head of the Office of the President. During the investigation, no one has been notified of any suspicion.
