Yermak announces negotiations between Ukrainian and American delegations at end of week
According to Ukrinform, Andriy Yermak announced this on Telegram.
“At the end of this week, the Ukrainian and American delegations will continue their joint work to develop the results achieved in Geneva,” Yermak said.
He emphasized the importance of maintaining productivity and working efficiently.
“Our key goal with our partners remains unchanged—to achieve lasting and dignified peace for Ukraine as soon as possible. As in Geneva, we are now preparing for constructive talks to achieve tangible progress in determining the steps to end the war,” Yermak said.
He also expressed his gratitude to the American team for their tireless work.
As reported earlier, American media outlets spread information that the Trump administration was holding secret consultations with the Russians to develop a new plan to end the war in Ukraine. According to Axios, the plan consists of 28 points. It is divided into four general categories: peace in Ukraine, security guarantees, security in Europe, and future U.S. relations with Russia and Ukraine.
Negotiations regarding the plan took place last Sunday in Geneva between the Ukrainian and American delegations. Following the talks in Switzerland, Volodymyr Zelensky announced that the number of points in the "peace plan" had decreased from 28. He noted that many important points had been considered and incorporated into the revised plan.
