President increases number of NSDC staff

President Volodymyr Zelensky has issued a decree increasing the maximum number of the National Security and Defense Council staff to 252 full-time employees and approving the structure of the apparatus.

According to Ukrinform, the relevant decree No. 816/2025 has been published on the website of the President of Ukraine.

“In accordance with paragraph 18 of part one of Article 106 of the Constitution of Ukraine and the Law of Ukraine ”On the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine,“ I hereby approve the maximum number of employees of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine at 252 full-time positions,” the document states.

The document also approves the structure of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine and states that the previous decree of the President of Ukraine “On the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine” dated February 26, 2021, No. 76/2021, is no longer valid.

As reported earlier, the maximum number of employees of the National Security and Defense Council apparatus was 237 full-time positions.
