Zelensky discusses energy and defense partnership with Aliyev

The Ukrainian president reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"I met with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. I thanked him for his principled and consistent support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity. We discussed diplomatic efforts to achieve a just peace in Ukraine, as well as energy and potential defense partnerships. We agreed on further contacts," Zelensky said.

He also thanked Azerbaijan for its support.

As reported, today, October 2, in Copenhagen, Zelensky took part in the seventh summit of the European Political Community and held a series of bilateral meetings, in particular with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, European Council President António Costa, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, and Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen.
