About ten countries ready to send troops to Ukraine under security guarantees – Bloomberg

Ukrinform
Around ten countries have expressed readiness to deploy military personnel to Ukraine as part of international security guarantees, once active hostilities come to an end.

This was reported by Bloomberg, citing its own sources, as reported by Ukrinform.

According to the media outlet, European officials met on Tuesday to discuss a plan for sending British and French troops as part of a peace agreement, including details on troop numbers and deployment locations. The report notes that both the United Kingdom and France are prepared to send hundreds of soldiers, who would be stationed in Ukraine as far from the front line as possible.

In the coming days, European military officials are expected to meet with their American counterparts to coordinate reliable security guarantees and prepare for the potential deployment of security forces, should hostilities cease, according to a statement from the UK government.

Sources also said that the talks will involve General Alexus Grynkewich, NATO Supreme Allied Commander Europe, along with defense leaders from member states.

European Council President António Costa stated that the terms of international security guarantees for Ukraine should be finalized in the coming days.

According to sources, the first phase of the proposed measures will focus on strengthening Ukraine’s Armed Forces through training. Meanwhile, the United States plans to concentrate on intelligence sharing, border control, and the supply of weapons and air defense systems.

Reports indicate that European leaders aim to leverage U.S. President Trump’s stated willingness to support security guarantees for Ukraine and seek to bolster Ukraine’s position ahead of a potential meeting between Presidents Zelensky and Putin.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, American and European officials have begun work on reinforcing Ukraine’s military capabilities as part of the broader security guarantee package.
