U.S. President Donald Trump said he would “probably” meet Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on the sidelines of a NATO summit in The Hague.
He said this on Tuesday aboard the presidential plane on the way to the summit, Ukrinform reports citing AFP.
“Yeah probably I'll see him,” Trump told reporters.
Asked what he would say to Zelensky, with whom he had a tense conversation during a meeting at the White House in February, Trump replied: "I'll say 'how you doing?' He's in a tough situation, should have never been there."
As reported by Ukrinform, President Volodymyr Zelensky said he plans to meet with U.S. President Donald Trump at the NATO summit to be held in The Hague on June 24-25.
