Foreign diplomats visit site of Russian strike in Kyiv

Representatives of the foreign diplomatic corps visited the site of the Russian strike that targeted an apartment building in the capital’s Solomiansky district.

This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Ukrinform learned.

The visit of the international diplomats to the site of the strike was called upon by Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, so that they could see with their own eyes the consequences of Russia’s brutal terror. The heads of foreign diplomatic missions were accompanied by First Deputy Foreign Minister Sergiy Kyslytsya.

At the call of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, representatives of more than 60 foreign diplomatic missions accredited in Ukraine arrived at the site of the mauled apartment block, of which more than 50 were heads of diplomatic missions.

“We are grateful to the foreign diplomatic corps for their solidarity with Ukraine and Ukrainians against the backdrop of Russian aggression and barbaric attacks. We emphasize the importance of increasing pressure on the aggressor and strengthening Ukraine,” the comment notes.

The commemoration, together with the foreign diplomatic corps and the Foreign Ministry, was attended by Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction, Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksiy Kuleba, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Viktor Mykyta, Head of the State Committee for the Interior and Local Government of Ukraine Tymur Tkachenko, and Head of the State Emergency Service Andriy Danyk.

As Ukrinform reported, on the night of June 17, some 27 locations in Kyiv came under a massive attack. According to tentative data, 15 people were killed and 114 injured, 68 of which were hospitalized.

In Odesa, one person was killed and 10 injured.
