Zelensky, UAE president discuss return of Ukrainians from Russian captivity

In Abu Dhabi, Presidents of Ukraine and the United Arab Emirates Volodymyr Zelensky and Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan have discussed the return of Ukrainians from Russian captivity.

Zelensky announced this on social media, Ukrinform reports.

“The UAE's mediation has saved many lives. We are grateful for this crucial cooperation and today we discussed how to continue it,” he said.

Zelensky noted that an important economic agreement between the two countries was signed today, which liberalizes access to the UAE market for nearly all Ukrainian goods.

“This will make it easier for our companies to sell their products in the UAE,” the Ukrainian president stressed.

He added, “The First Lady's work was also intensive. Key issues of humanitarian cooperation were discussed, including rehabilitation, support for large foster families, and aid for our people”.

He thanked for the cooperation that saves lives and helps the two nations grow stronger.

As reported by Ukrinform, President Volodymyr Zelensky and First Lady Olena Zelenska arrived in the United Arab Emirates on an official visit on February 16.
