Ihor Kyzym, Ukraine's Ambassador-at-Large for Belarus and former Ambassador to Belarus (2017-2023), has resigned from the diplomatic service for personal reasons.

The diplomat announced this on his Facebook page, Ukrinform reports.

"Today, exclusively for personal reasons, I have made the decision to resign from the diplomatic service and take a 'well-deserved rest.' There comes a time for every person when you realize that age takes its toll, and you can no longer fully dedicate yourself to your work. And I cannot work any other way, and under current circumstances, I believe it would be dishonest to the service to which I have dedicated almost my entire life," Kyzym wrote.
