Ukraine officially joins NATO Cooperative Cyber Defense Centre of Excellence

Ukraine has officially joined the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defense Centre of Excellence.

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said this on Twitter, according to Ukrinform.

"Today [on March 16] the National Flag of Ukraine is officially raised at the Headquarters of the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defense Centre of Excellence in Tallinn, marking official accession of Ukraine to the CCDCOE. We thank the CCDCOE Sponsoring Nations for inviting Ukraine and express our special gratitude to the Government of Estonia for their support and assistance on the way to NATO CCDCOE!" the ministry said.

The NATO Cooperative Cyber Defense Centre of Excellence is one of NATO Centers of Excellence. It provides countermeasures against cyber attacks and cyber protection of information systems, as well as education and training of NATO cyber defense specialists. Since its foundation in 2008, it has been located in Tallinn.

In March 2022, Ukraine was granted the status of a NATO CCDCOE contributing participant.
