Kondratyuk asks Chairman of Azerbaijani Parliament to organize rehabilitation of wounded military personnel

Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, Olena Kondratyuk, requested the Chairman of the Parliament of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Sahiba Gafarova, to organize rehabilitation programs for wounded Ukrainian military personnel and veterans in the country.

The Ukrainian parliament's deputy speaker reported this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform. 

She informed that during her visit to Azerbaijan, she met with the Chairman of the Milli Majlis.

Kondratyuk noted that among other things, she discussed with Gafarova the issues of protecting the rights and rehabilitation of Ukrainian children.

She added, "I also requested the organization of rehabilitation programs for wounded military personnel and veterans of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Azerbaijan, as well as the acceptance of new groups of Ukrainian children affected by the war for recuperation."

At the same time, the Ukrainian parliament's deputy speaker appealed to the Chairman of the Azerbaijani Parliament to adopt a statement in support of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as condemning the mass and illegal deportation of Ukrainian children by the Russian Federation.

"With gratitude for the support already provided, we hope that friendly Azerbaijan will continue to provide comprehensive humanitarian assistance to Ukraine. It is extremely valuable and necessary for us in such challenging times," Kondratyuk concluded.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, a Ukrainian delegation led by Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, Olena Kondratyuk, is currently on a working visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan.
