President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky discussed the need for the 11th package of sanctions against the Russian Federation with President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen.

“I’m in constant contact with President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen. I thanked her for participating in the Bucha Summit. We discussed future joint international events,” Zelensky posted on Telegram.

The parties also touched upon other issues of support for Ukraine, in particular the need for preparation of the 11th package of sanctions and progress in implementing the recommendations of the European Commission.

“I had a phone call with President Zelensky ahead of my visit to China. Ukraine will be an important topic of my meetings with President Xi and Premier Li. The EU wants a just peace that respects Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” von der Leyen posted on Twitter.

On April 4, the Government of Norway joined the tenth package of European Union sanctions against Russia which was adopted on February 25.
