Ukraine, Poland to resume work of Consultative Committee of Presidents

Ukraine and Poland have agreed to resume the work of the Consultative Committee of the Presidents.  

Head of the International Policy Bureau at the Presidential Chancellery of the Republic of Poland Marcin Przydacz announced this on Twitter, Ukrinform reports.

"We agreed with Andriy Yermak [the head of the Ukrainian President’s Office] on the resumption of the work of the Consultative Committee of the Presidents of Ukraine and Poland. In particular, he will deal with the improvement of economic cooperation as part of the future reconstruction of Ukraine," Przydacz wrote.

He added that Warsaw wants Polish companies to have a very good starting position in the process of rebuilding Ukraine.

As reported by Ukrinform, Head of the Ukrainian President’s Office Andriy Yermak on Monday held a meeting with the delegation of the Republic of Poland, during which the parties discussed defense cooperation, Ukraine’s Euro-Atlantic integration, and Poland’s participation in the reconstruction of Ukraine. The delegation of the Republic of Poland included Secretary of State – Head of the International Policy Bureau at the Presidential Chancellery of the Republic of Poland Marcin Przydacz, Minister for the European Union of the Republic of Poland Szymon Szynkowski vel Sęk and Minister-Member of the Council of Ministers of Poland Michał Dworczyk.

The Consultative Committee of the Presidents of Ukraine and Poland, established in 1993, is aimed at deepening the development of good-neighborly and friendly relations between the countries and based on the need to give relations a new political level.
