Ukrainian delegation in talks with Russia defending state interests - Sybyha

Deputy Head of the President's Office Andriy Sybyha assured that Ukraine is defending Ukrainian state interests in negotiations with the Russian Federation, and that there can be no compromise.

The official said this on the air of the all-national telethon, UA ​​together, Ukrinform reports.

"The Ukrainian delegation firmly defends and will defend the Ukrainian state interests. There can be no compromise on these issues," Sybyha said.

He stressed that the Ukrainian officials are in favor of a ceasefire and withdrawal of Russian troops, the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine, as well as security guarantees.

According to Sybyha, Ukraine must receive clear and reliable security guarantees from key allies and partners.

At the same time, the deputy head of the Presidential Office informed that negotiations with Russia are very difficult, as the Russian invaders are on Ukrainian territory, and each coma is subject to "complicated discussion."

"Negotiations are ongoing between the relevant negotiating teams. I could say, if we assess from a professional perspective, that we have a certain dynamics ahead in terms of progress in the negotiation process," Sybyha said.

As reported, Russian President Putin declared war on Ukraine on February 24, launching a large-scale invasion. Russian troops have been shelling and bombarding infrastructure facilities, targeting residential areas of Ukrainian cities and towns in artillery, rocket, and missile fire.
