Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal discussed European prospects and the consolidation of efforts to support Ukraine with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Austria Alexander Schallenberg, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovakia Ivan Korčok, and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Jan Lipavský.

During the meeting in Kyiv, Shmyhal stressed that the visit of the foreign ministers of the three European countries was an important signal of solidarity with Ukraine, the Government portal informs.

He thanked for providing economic, humanitarian, and military support, as well as expressed gratitude personally to the ministers for visiting the line of contact the day before.

"I am grateful for the firm stance of your countries. Today, we have a high level of support from the European Union and its member states. Practical assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine is critical for us as Ukraine has become Europe's shield in the face of the threat coming from the east," said the Head of the Government of Ukraine.

"Signing joint declarations on Ukraine's European prospects at the level of heads of state and government will be a clear signal that pro-European reforms in our country deserve the support of all EU Member States," Shmyhal said.

In this regard, he thanked Slovakia for signing the declaration and expressed hope that the Czech Republic and Austria would soon support Ukraine's European integration officially.

Austria, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic fully support Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, the ministers assured.

As reported, the foreign ministers of the Czech Republic, Austria, and Slovakia are on a joint visit to Ukraine on February 7-8 at the invitation of Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.
