New ambassador of Israel starts working in Ukraine

Newly appointed Ambassador of Israel to Ukraine Michael Brodsky presented copies of his credentials to Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine for Digital Development, Digital Transformations and Digitalization Dmytro Senik.

"The parties reaffirmed their mutual commitment to cooperation and partnership between Israel and Ukraine," the Embassy of State of Israel in Ukraine posted on Twitter.

Earlier, Brodsky said that becoming the new Ambassador of Israel in Ukraine was a great honor for him.

“Looking forward to further straightening the Israel-Ukraine relations based on mutual respect, equality, and win-win cooperation,” the diplomat assured.

Michael Brodsky was born in 1972 in St. Petersburg. In 1990, he and his family moved to Israel, where he received a bachelor's degree in political science and a master's degree in diplomacy and national security at the Tel Aviv University.

He began his diplomatic career in 2002. In 2003-2008, Brodsky worked as a press attaché of the Embassy of Israel in Moscow and a political attaché of the Embassy of Israel in Moscow from 2006 to 2008. In 2009-2013, he held the position of Public Relations Director of the Embassy of Israel in London. In 2015-2018, Brodsky was the Ambassador of Israel to Kazakhstan.

In June 2021, the Government of Israel approved the nomination of diplomat Michael Brodsky as the Ambassador to Ukraine. His predecessor, Joel Lion, served as the Ambassador of Israel to Ukraine in 2018-2021.
