Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada Speaker Dmytro Razumkov and Eduardo Bolsonaro, member of the Chamber of Deputies of the National Congress of Brazil, have discussed issues of cooperation in the trade, economic, defense, and security spheres.

"During a meeting with a member of the Chamber of Deputies of the National Congress of Brazil, Eduardo Bolsonaro, we discussed issues of trade, economic, defense, and security cooperation. In 2020, bilateral trade between Ukraine and Brazil increased by 13.1%. However, there is still untapped potential between our countries," Razumkov wrote on Facebook.

The speaker stressed that Brazil is Ukraine's strategic partner in Latin America. "It is pleasant to note that relations between our states are developing and cover various areas of cooperation," he added.

Razumkov recalled that in a few months the two countries will celebrate an important date - the 130th anniversary of the beginning of Ukrainian immigration to Brazil.

He also thanked the Brazilian government for supporting the Ukrainian community at the state level and creating conditions for the free development of our culture, religion, language and traditions.
