Zelensky: Russia remains silent on 20-point peace plan
President Volodymyr Zelensky said this while answering journalists’ questions, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“We have not received an official response from the Russian side. We communicate exclusively with the Americans, and I think I have emphasized this, you know it. The Americans, in turn, communicate with the Russians. I believe we will know their official response in the coming days,” he said.
The President noted that sensitive issues will be discussed on Sunday, December 28.
“We will discuss both Donbas and the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant,” Zelensky said, adding that other issues would also be on the agenda.
“As for the armed forces, what is currently provided in our agreements suits us. The number of the armed forces that is fixed there today suits us, as for us, this constitutes security guarantees, and the American side hears us,” Zelensky stressed.
As reported by Ukrinform, a meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and U.S. President Donald Trump is scheduled to take place in Florida on Sunday. Earlier, President Zelensky revealed details of the 20 points of the draft framework document between Ukraine, the United States, Russia, and Europe on ending the war.
