Slovakia to facilitate granting Ukraine NATO EOP status
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba congratulated Ivan Korčok on his appointment as the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic.
“Ivan Korčok assured of Slovakia’s further support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty, as well as the European and Euro-Atlantic choices of Ukraine. According to him, Slovakia will facilitate granting Ukraine NATO's Enhanced Opportunity Partner status,” the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine informs.
The Slovak minister also assured that Ukraine would be a priority of the policy of the newly-appointed Slovak Government.
The parties exchanged views on the situation in eastern Ukraine, the ongoing Russian aggression, the dynamics of the peace process in the Normandy format and the negotiations in Minsk.
Kuleba invited his Slovakian colleague to visit Ukraine as soon as the foreign trips become possible. Ivan Korčok gladly accepted the invitation.
The Foreign Minister of Ukraine also thanked his colleague for the decision of Slovakia, along with other representatives of the Visegrad Group, to implement the V4EastSolidarity program to assist Ukraine and other Eastern Partnership member states.
