Canada to allocate over $2 mln to strengthen Ukraine’s National Police

Canada will allocate more than $2 million to help strengthen the capacity of the National Police of Ukraine.

 “The Minister also announced more than $2 million over three years to help strengthen the capacity of the National Police of Ukraine in planning, implementing, monitoring and reviewing reform processes,” reads the news release posted on the website of the Government of Canada.

While making a visit to Ukraine, Minister Champagne highlighted Canada’s continued commitment to the country’s ambitious reform efforts and engaging women in peace and security efforts.

The Minister also discussed the work that Canada is doing to stand up for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity in the face of Russian aggression,” the statement says.
