Zelensky dismisses governor of Ivano-Frankivsk region

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has dismissed Denys Shmyhal as head of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration.

The relevant decree, No.38/2020 as of February 5, is posted on the president’s website.

"To dismiss Denys Shmyhal from the post of head of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration in line with his letter of resignation,” reads the statement.

As Ukrinform reported, the Verkhovna Rada on February 4 appointed Denys Shmyhal as Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine.
