US, Germany, France to hold consultations on Normandy format
"The representatives of the United States, Germany and France plan to hold consultations on the Normandy format," U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine Negotiations Kurt Volker told the Voice of America.
He also confirmed that he kept in touch with the European partners and the next round of consultations should take place this week.
As reported, on August 7, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin agreed on a possible meeting of the Normandy Four leaders.
The last meeting in the Normandy format took place in Paris on July 13 between the foreign ministers’ advisers. They reached agreement on an indefinite ceasefire from July 21. However, it did not last long. On August 6, the Russian occupation troops killed four Ukrainian troops near Pavlopil, Donetsk region.
