Ukraine opens Honorary Consulate in Sardinia

Ukraine’s Honorary Consulate has opened in the capital of the Italian island of Sardinia, Cagliari city.

The Embassy of Ukraine in Italy has written this on Facebook.

"The solemn inauguration of the Honorary Consulate of Ukraine in the city of Cagliari took place on May 10,¨ reads the report.

According to the diplomatic mission, Ukraine will be represented in Sardinia by experienced and energetic Honorary Consul Anthony Grande. His work will be aimed at strengthening the interregional dialogue,  developing economic and cultural cooperation and protecting the rights of the Ukrainian community of the Italian island.

Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin, Ambassador of Ukraine to Italy Yevhen Perelyhin, Head of the Parliamentary Group on Inter-Parliamentary Relations with Italy Serhii Alekseyev, representatives of local authorities and Ukrainian community took part in the solemn event.
