The spokesperson for the head of the Belarusian state, Natalya Eysmont, told this to reporters on Thursday, according to BELTA.
"I can unequivocally confirm that it [the visit] is to be held in the near future. It is expected at the end of July," she said.
As reported, at a meeting with the head of the Belarusian state in April 2017, Poroshenko invited Lukashenko to make an official visit to Ukraine this summer. According to him, the Belarusian and Ukrainian sides had to draw up the agenda and prepare the necessary documents, the signing of which would facilitate the expansion of cooperation between the two states.
The agenda of bilateral cooperation also includes a business forum and a meeting of the Belarusian-Ukrainian Advisory Council on Business Cooperation, which are expected to take place in Kyiv on July 20-21, according to the website of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The business forum participants will discuss the urgent issues of interaction between the two countries' business circles, and bilateral agreements and agreements are to be signed.
The advisory council plans to consider promising directions for the development of Belarusian-Ukrainian trade and economic cooperation as part of the functioning of the Eurasian Economic Union and Ukraine's interaction with the European Union, discuss problems in doing business, and exchange ideas and experience in implementing joint projects.
