President Poroshenko signs laws on raising social protection of servicepersons and their families

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on May 4 signed two laws on raising the social protection of servicepersons and members of their families, the president’s press service reports.

President Poroshenko noted that due to a huge amount of work carried out by the Defense Ministry, the General Staff, MPs of the Verkhovna Rada, and volunteers, a program was developed to improve the level of protection of servicepersons in Ukraine.

He also emphasized the importance of raising the level of monetary allowances and monetary compensation to the families of servicepersons who were killed in combat operations, as well as to injured or wounded soldiers.
