Parubiy supports holding of referendum on NATO membership

Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy has stated that he supports the initiative of President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko to hold a referendum regarding Ukraine's accession to NATO.
He said this during a speech in the parliament, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
"I support the initiative regarding referendum on joining NATO," Parubiy said. He added that Ukraine should become an important and integral part of the global security system.
As reported, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko stated in an Interview with German daily newspaper Berliner Morgenpost that he indented to hold a referendum on whether Ukraine should join the NATO alliance.
