Ukraine, Moldova agree to intensify political, economic and cross-border cooperation

In the framework of the working trip to Odesa region, President Petro Poroshenko visited border crossing point “Mayaky-Palanka-Udobne” at the Ukraine-Moldova state border together with Prime Minister of Moldova Pavel Filip.

This has been reported by the press service of the Head of State.

The parties examined the course of construction of the border crossing point planned to be opened in 2018.

The parties agreed that in the framework of the Eastern Partnership project and the project of integrated border management, the modern border crossing point with modern equipment will be built jointly with the EU. The President noted that the EU allocated funds for the implementation of the given project.

The parties also reached an agreement to build the common modern border crossing point Kuchurgan-Pervomaisk with participation of the EU.

The President informed the Prime Minister of Moldova that he had instructed to intensify construction of Odessa-Reni road and all the necessary infrastructure.
