Survey: Nearly half of Ukrainians believe in visa-free regime

49% of Ukrainians consider introduction of the visa-free regime with the European Union important, and 55% of Ukrainians are going to travel to the EU to work, study or reside there for a long time.

The analyst, a member of the SocioStream AG expert council, Ivan Kolodiy, said this during presentation of the results of “Socio-political Situation in Ukraine in April 2016” sociological study, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"49% of respondents consider introduction of the visa-free regime with the EU important, 25% -. not important and 26% were undecided. Among those who consider introduction of the visa-free regime important, 55% are going to move to the EU for a long time (35% are going to work there, 5% - to get education, 10% - to leave for permanent residence),” Kolodiy said.

The study was conducted on April 6-12, 2016.
