Poroshenko: new prosecutor general to be appointed after formation of new Cabinet

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said he will to start consultations on the appointment of a new prosecutor general after the formation of a new coalition.
President Poroshenko said this in an interview with three Ukrainian TV channels on Sunday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Immediately after the election of a new prime minister and a new composition of the government, on the same day I will launch consultations with heads of all parliamentary factions on the candidacy of a future prosecutor general,” Poroshenko said.
He also noted that the name of a candidate to the post of prosecutor general would be announced upon the completion of consultations.
