Yushchenko admits that Putin has trouble sleeping because he understands what he had done
The former head of state said this in an interview to the Public TV, Ukrainska Pravda (Ukrainian Truth) reports.
"Putin is afraid of three things. First and most what he fears is the reaction of the people, the Russians. Second - the reaction of the world community," Yushchenko said.
Answering a remark that the Russian President makes such statements, which have not show that he is afraid of the reaction of the world community, Yushchenko said: "It's early days yet."
"It's bravado (statements to the public). I am convinced that he (Putin) is not sleeping for several nights because he has opened a box that is very difficult to close. The whole world is against him," Yushchenko said.
"The third issue (which Putin is afraid of) is the key issue - it is that Ukrainians have decided its greatest political problem that we have: our weak national unity and our weak internal integration. We were often divided, and Putin uses every crevice of this division and hits in those cracks now," Yushchenko says.
To remind, March 20, the White House has expanded the sanctions list relative to Russian officials. It includes people from the entourage of Putin, who has organized and legalized the annexation of the part of Ukraine's territory - Crimea.
