Russia's consul in Simferopol says Haytarma film distorts truth about war
KYIV, May 22 /UKRINFORM/. Consul General of the Russian Federation in Simferopol Vladimir Andreev called the film "Haytarma" about the deportation of the Crimean Tatars the one that distorts the truth about the Great Patriotic War.
He said this in an interview with the Crimean Tatar ATR Channel when asked by reporters to comment on his ban to attend the film premiere by pilots invited from Russia - students of Amet-Khan Sultan.
"In this case, Russia could not be represented at the premiere of the film, distorting the truth about the Great Patriotic War. If it was a film series, where, for example, of 20 series 17 - would tell about the heroism of Soviet soldiers, the legendary pilots of the war, the two series would be about the issues of cooperation of Crimean Tatar people with the Nazi occupiers and the final, probably, a series about deportation - the tragedy and state crimes of the Soviet leaders, I would go to watch this film, I would watch all 20 series," Andreev emphasized.
The diplomat noted that he gave an interview to the Crimean Tatar channel to ensure that "the truth about the Great Patriotic War sound," including, considering the theme of betrayal of the Crimean Tatars and their complicity with the Nazis.
