Severe weather in Odesa: 384 apartment buildings and 286 private homes flooded

The storm caused serious damage to the city's infrastructure. According to preliminary data, all districts of Odesa experienced flooding, with 286 private homes and 384 apartment buildings affected, Trukhanov stated
He noted that the Kyivskyi district was the hardest hit, with flooding impacting 185 private homes and 200 apartment buildings.
Roads and engineering networks also sustained significant damage.
District administration emergency teams have already recorded 782 reports from residents regarding flooding, fallen trees, power outages, and property damage. The majority of reports (465) came from the Kyivskyi district.
Trukhanov emphasized that municipal services and district administrations are operating in emergency mode. Damage assessment and cleanup efforts are ongoing.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, October 2 has been declared a day of mourning in Odesa following the deaths of nine people due to the storm.
