IAEA confirms damage to Iranian uranium enrichment plant in Natanz
According to Ukrinform, the IAEA reported this on the social network X.
“Based on the latest available satellite imagery, IAEA can now confirm some recent damage to entrance buildings of Iran’s underground Natanz Fuel Enrichment Plant (FEP),” the IAEA stated.
The agency noted that no radiation consequences are expected, and no additional damage to the plant itself, which was seriously damaged during an attack in June last year, has been detected.
As reported by Ukrinform, on Monday, March 2, Permanent Representative of Iran to the United Nations Reza Najafi, who is responsible for nuclear control, said that a large nuclear facility located in Natanz was attacked during US and Israeli strikes against Iran.
However, on the same day, the IAEA said there were no signs that the attacks on Iran had damaged or affected nuclear facilities.
