IAEA reports local truce in Zaporizhzhia NPP area for power line repairs

Another IAEA-brokered local ceasefire is now in effect to enable restoration of the 330 kV backup power supply to the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant.

“Another IAEA-brokered local ceasefire is now in effect to enable restoration of the 330 kV backup power supply to the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant,” the post reads.
According to IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi, demining work is continuing to ensure safe access for repair crews.
As reported by Ukrinform, the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant in southeastern Ukraine, which is under Russian occupation, has been operating on a single external power line since the backup line failed in mid-February.
