New attacks by Russia leave users in three regions without power

Ukrinform
As of March 2, Russian attacks on energy infrastructure have left residents of the Donetsk, Sumy, and Zaporizhzhia regions without power.

According to Ukrinform, NPC Ukrenergo reported this on Facebook.

"As a result of enemy attacks on energy infrastructure, as of this morning, residents of the Donetsk, Sumy, and Zaporizhzhia regions are without power. Emergency repair work is being carried out wherever security conditions currently allow. Energy workers are doing everything possible to restore the equipment damaged by the enemy as quickly as possible and to restore power to all users without electricity," the statement said.

Due to the consequences of previous massive attacks on the energy sector, power restriction schedules for industry and hourly power outage schedules for other categories of users are being applied in some regions.

As of 9:00 a.m. on Monday, electricity consumption was 7.6% higher than on the previous working day, February 27. Ukrenergo explains this by a reduction in the number of power outages.

"In regions where hourly power outages are in effect today, there is still a need for energy saving. Please limit the use of powerful electrical appliances. If possible, move energy-intensive processes to nighttime hours after 10 p.m.," the company said.

As reported, the government has begun paying UAH 20,000 to critical infrastructure workers who are dealing with the aftermath of Russian attacks.
