Ukraine preparing new routes for US gas supplies – Zelensky
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said this in his nightly video address, Ukrinform reports.
"I thank all state-owned companies that are providing assistance – Ukrzaliznytsia, Naftogaz – as well as all municipal utilities and all energy companies," he said.
According to Zelensky, Naftogaz has also secured the first shipment of liquefied natural gas this year – from the United States.
"This additional import is necessary for us because the Russians have destroyed a significant part of our domestic production," he said.
He also spoke about preparations for new supply routes.
"We are also preparing the first delivery of American gas via Greece and neighboring European countries – this is something we agreed on, and I am grateful that these arrangements are working. All agreements that strengthen us help us endure," Zelensky said.
As Ukrinform reported, Naftogaz Group imported 100 million cubic meters of U.S. liquefied gas via Poland.
