In Ukraine, enemy shelling causes new power outages in three regions
According to Ukrinform, NPC Ukrenergo reported this on Facebook.
"Due to challenging weather conditions (ice, wet snow accumulation), 531 settlements in seven regions were completely or partially without power as of this morning, including Odesa, Vinnytsia, Mykolaiv, Kirovohrad, Cherkasy, Kyiv, and Chernihiv. Regional power company crews are carrying out emergency repair work on the damaged lines," the statement said.
In addition, due to new Russian attacks, users in the Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, and Zaporizhzhia regions are without power. Energy companies are doing everything possible to restore the equipment damaged by the enemy as quickly as possible and restore power to all subscribers.
As of 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, electricity consumption was 1.6% higher than the previous day, driven by fewer power outages in some regions.
Due to power system difficulties in some regions caused by Russian attacks, emergency power cuts are currently in effect. In the remaining regions, power restriction schedules for industry and hourly power cut schedules for the population are in effect.
“Throughout the day, all regions of Ukraine still need to save energy. Please use powerful electrical appliances as little as you can. If possible, postpone energy-intensive processes until nighttime after 11 p.m.,” Ukrenergo added.
As reported, emergency power cuts are being implemented in part of the Kyiv region.
