Electricity consumption increases by more than 21% on Friday — Ukrenergo
According to Ukrinform, this was reported by NPC Ukrenergo on its Facebook page.
“Electricity consumption has increased. As of 9:30 a.m. today, January 2, the electricity consumption level was 21.2% higher than at the same time the previous day, on Thursday. The reason for this is the application of fewer forced restrictions compared to the previous day,” the statement said.
It is noted that due to Russian attacks, customers in the Zaporizhzhia region are without power this morning. The restoration of energy infrastructure in the Odesa and Kyiv regions is ongoing.
Due to the consequences of previous massive Russian attacks, most regions of Ukraine have power restriction schedules for businesses and hourly power outage schedules for the population.
In turn, the Ministry of Energy reports that due to adverse weather conditions, 27 settlements in the Ivano-Frankivsk region and 17 settlements in the Lviv region are currently without power. In the Odesa region, more than 11,000 users remain without power after previous attacks.
As reported, as of the morning of January 1, a significant number of customers in the Odesa and Volyn regions were left without power due to another massive Russian attack.
